Emory Veterinary Clinic is proud to serve the clients in the Emory, Texas area for everything pet related.  Our veterinary clinic and animal hospital is run by Dr. Mike Andrews and Dr. Samantha Gibbs, who are licensed, experienced  veterinarians. 

Our team is committed to educating our clients in how to keep your pets healthy year round, with good nutrition and exercise.  Emory Veterinary Clinic stays on top of the latest advances in veterinarian technology and above all, remembers that all animals and pets need to be treated with loving care in every check-up, procedure, or surgery.

    Meet Practice Owner

    Dr. Andrews graduated from Oklahoma State University School of Veterinary Medicine in 1970 and purchased Emory Veterinary Clinic in January of 2013. Previously residing in Como Texas, he and his perfect bride, Pam, have recently purchased a home right off the Pacific Ocean coast in Oxnard, California, where they enjoy plenty of kayaking and beach adventures together (Plus their standard poodle, Miss Daisy Mae) Dr. Andrews has been practicing veterinary medicine for officially 50 years and still loves it just as much as he did when he started. He is passionate about the pets and most importantly the community he serves here in Emory.

    Meet Practice Owner

    Dr. Gibbs graduated from Oklahoma State University, College of Veterinary Medicine, in May of 2018. Originally from Colleyville Texas, she has been a veterinary technician since high school and genuinely loves other people’s pets just as much as she loves her own. Dr. Gibbs was drawn to practice in Emory Texas because of her deep desire to serve in a community that she could plant roots in and call home! At the clinic, she is deeply passionate about the prevention of disease, appropriate nutrition, osteoarthritis management, and the relief of pain and suffering. All of her free time is spent with her dogs- Gauge, her cuddle-bug and Sue, her Rains County rescue. Dr. Gibbs’ hobbies outside of veterinary medicine include any type of hunting, hiking, tennis playing, and all outdoor activities.

    Dr. Jennifer Bankston

    Dr. Jennifer Bankston graduated with her Doctorate from Louisiana State University and has been practicing for nearly 20 years. She has been working as a relief doctor in the North/East Texas area, as she also has a full time job as a wife and mother of four. Dr. Bankston enjoys internal medicine cases that require critical care and advanced workups. In her free time she can be found toting her flock of kids around to various activities or being involved in her church. We are thrilled that for three days out of her week, she calls Emory Veterinary Clinic home.

    Head Veterinary Assistant/Office Manager

    Dana started at our clinic in August 2018. She was born and raised in Emory. Growing up, she was an active member of the FFA and 4-H programs, raising and showing, lambs, cattle, and pigs. She absolutely loves her job here and she is very passionate about educating her home community about their pet’s health care needs and knowing that she will forever have left an impact on the lives of our four-legged community members. On her days off she takes care of her personal “herd” of heelers and cattle, as well as spending her free time with her family & fiance Logan.

    Kennel Director

    Meet Abby Gonzalez! Abby has been tirelessly taking care of all our boarding and bath babies since March of 2019. In March of 2022, she got an interoffice promotion to kennel director. She keeps our boarding facility in tip-top shape, watching and recording every move your pets take when they are in our care, confirming your boarding reservations, and making sure that your pets get the best care while boarding at our facility.

    Sonia Vidal
    Licensed Veterinary Technician

    Meet registered and licensed veterinary technician Sonia Vidal! She has been with us since July of 2019. She got her Bachelor of Science with a concentration in environmental science and wildlife management, and her associates in applied science with a focus on veterinary technology before achieving the ultimate dream of LVT. She runs anesthesia, performs dental scaling, works up rooms, educates clients, and grounds our staff. In her fleeting spare time, she volunteers for wildlife rescue and rehab, as well as hanging out with her cats and 3 goats. We are grateful, thankful, and blessed to have this force in our clinic.

    Anajari Perez-Romero
    Technician Assistant, CVA I

    Meet Anajari! Ana is a born & raised Texan. She has grown up raising livestock and various types of small animals.  She recently became a certified veterinary assistant and has aspirations of pursuing her formal veterinary technician license. In her free time she enjoys caring for her 2 dogs, a herd of goats and sheep and spending quality time with her siblings and parents. Ana is also bilingual and speaks fluent spanish!

    Veterinary Technician Assistant

    Meet Maddy! Maddy is Texas born & Kentucky raised! Maddy had never had a town to call a “permanent home' due to having to move quite often in her life as her father was in the service. She has always had a passion for being a voice and advocate for animals and educating owners on what is in their pets best interest! Maddy says, “Nothing makes me happier than to know I have helped an animal live a better life.” Maddy enjoys spending her free time with her family, friends and her 3 cats, Spooky, Kai, and Taco!

    Veterinary Assistant

    Katie started at our clinic in August 2019 and is now one of our lead floor technicians. Katie came from Lindale Veterinary clinic as an office manager assistant and receptionist. However, most of her career (over 2 decades) has been equine oriented. She is deeply passionate about the German Short Hair Pointer breed, and her goal is to preserve the true working dog, by breeding genetically proven dogs. In the clinic, you will see this devotion in her daily conversations with clients about providing appropriate, exercise, nutrition, and at-home care for their pets.

    Meet Chassidy Brown! Chassidy has been with us since July 2020. You may recognize her from behind our reception desk! Chassidy received an interoffice promotion to veterinary assistant in July 2021 She assists veterinarians in exam rooms and takes care of hospitalized patients. Chassidy’s favorite part of her job is socializing with clients and has a passion for educating owners on the recommended preventive care for their pets. She loves to spend her free time with her son, daughter & French Bulldog named Koe!

    Veterinary Assistant

    Meet Rachael! Rachael was born and raised in Fort Worth, Texas but has recently moved closer to Emory to enjoy the small town atmosphere! Growing up she has had numerous dogs, cats, rodents and reptiles, which has led to her passion in animal care. Rachael previously worked at Banfield Veterinary Hospital  as a receptionist and vet assistant and has aspirations to continue her education and become a licensed veterinary technician. When Rachael isn’t working, she loves taking care of her colony of cats and miniature dachshunds, reading, and playing video games.

    Meet Bri! Bri was raised here in Emory, TX and loves this small town and everyone in it. She has a passion for all animals and wants the utmost comfort and happiness for anyone and any animal that crosses her path. She is currently attending PJC for a Major in Biology with plans to pursue a lifelong dream of becoming a Wildlife Veterinarian or Rehabilitator. She spends most of her free time outside, exploring the beauty of nature with her husband, 3 dogs, 10 cats, and 4 guinea pigs

    Meet Ashley! Ashley was born and raised in Dallas,Texas. Ashley has since moved to Lone Oak, Texas after many years of living in Dallas, to enjoy the small town atmosphere & simple living!  Ashley has always had a love for animals and has been involved in the veterinary field since she was a senior in high school. In her spare time she enjoys watching the Cowboys, being outdoors with her two fur-babies, Gucci & Bruce Wayne, enjoying a nice fire, camping or fishing! ( Oh, and did we mention, she is a die hard Dallas Cowboys fan!! )
