Our Team

Emory Veterinary Clinic is proud to serve the clients in the Emory, Texas area for everything pet related.  Our veterinary clinic and animal hospital is run by Dr. Mike Andrews and Dr. Roger Wilbur, who are licensed, experienced  veterinarians. 

Our team is committed to educating our clients in how to keep your pets healthy year round, with good nutrition and exercise.  Emory Veterinary Clinic stays on top of the latest advances in veterinarian technology and above all, remembers that all animals and pets need to be treated with loving care in every check-up, procedure, or surgery.  

Dr. Roger Wilbur

Dr. Roger Wilbur DVM graduated from the University of Georgia School of Veterinary Medicine and Dr. Wilbur practiced in Dallas area form many years before moving their families to East Texas to retire. Dr. Wilbur lives on a ranch outside of Grand Saline.

Dr. Mike Andrews

Mike Andrews DVM graduated from Oklahoma State University School of Veterinary Medicine.  Dr. Andrews and his wife, Pam,  live on a ranch outside of Como where they raise horses and cattle. He and Dr. Wilbur purchased Emory Veterinary Clinic in January of 2013.


Martha Travis serves as our receptionist after a 30-year career as a Spanish teacher in Richardson ISD.  She and her husband, Gary, live outside of Kaufman, TX, near College Mound.  Martha serves as the Lay Leader for First United Methodist Church, Kemp, TX.  In her spare time, Martha enjoys her horse, "Charlie", her Corgi, "Mattie", and her Chihuahua, "Bebe".  When asked why she travels so far to work in Emory, she replies, "When you love where you work and love where you live, driving is just a small consequence!"


Pam Andrews graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from Friends University in Wichita, Kansas.  In April of 2013, she started working at Emory Veterinary Clinic as a receptionist/technician.  She and her husband, Mike, live on a ranch in Como, Texas with their four dogs, four longhorns, and six horses.  In her spare time,Pam enjoys cooking, riding horses, and visiting her five children and six grandchildren.


Beau Vawter serves as our practice manager.  He has worked in animal care and training since he was able to work.  His interests in the veterinary field are surgery, dentistry, emergency/critical care, and diabetes management.  As a diabetic, Beau is very passionate about teaching people about diabetes and treating their diabetic pets.  Beau lives in Emory with his wife and 3 boys.  The family enjoys fishing, camping, and anything else that seems fun at the time.

Our Services

We're pleased to offer the following services at Emory Veterinary Clinic Veterinary Clinic:


Our appointment book is computerized which allows us to efficiently make appointments for you and your pet. Our receptionists and team will attempt to accommodate all requests to the best of our ability. Emergencies are accepted anytime our clinic is open. If you feel you have an emergency with your pet, please call us or come to the hospital immediately. If possible it is best to call before coming in so that a staff member can advise you on your particular emergency.

Emergency & Urgent Care

We have a veterinarian and personnel on duty 5 days a week who are trained and equipped to handle any urgent care your pet has. Usually an emergency team consists of at least one veterinarian and several technicians working together to save a pet's life. Emergencies can be things such as snail bait poisoning, hit by car, and chocolate ingestion. If you ever feel that your pet needs emergency treatment do not hesitate to call or come in immediately. If possible it is best to call before coming in so that a team member can advise you on your particular emergency.

We are also available for urgent care when the condition is not life-threatening. If you feel your pet needs to be seen before you are able to get an appointment, our veterinarians will work to "squeeze" you in between scheduled appointments. When you arrive, our receptionists will be able to give you an estimate on how long you may have to wait in order to be seen.
